Next to my job as a part-time nurse, I run Grethe´s Hostel in Göteborg. I feel stimulated by both of my jobs, I meet many happy and optimistic people. I started the business small scale in 1983, and quickly discovered, that there was a great need for low-prices, centrally located, clean and nice rooms. In 1995 I bought the house, which now is the most popular hostel in Göteborg. The house itself is an older, charming house with a long history.

To be able to maintain the low prices, I´ve had good help from my family. My husband has been a faithful "groundskeeper" without payment for many years, parallell to his regular occupation.

This is the house when it was built in 1901. The house has been totally renovated and moved from its former location to its current, central location.
